SR to operate special train to Ernakulam

Trichy: Southern railway will operate a special train between Chennai and Ernakulam to avoid the passengers’ rush after the services were restored following the flood-induced cancellations.

Special train from Chennai Egmore–Ernakulam one-way special (Train No 06335) will leave Chennai Egmore at 6.50 pm on August 20, (Monday) and reach Ernakulam at 2 pm on August 21. A composition of the special train is AC 2-tier -3, AC 3-tier-4, sleeper class -11, GS-2 luggage-cum-brake van – 2 coaches and one WCB empty rake.


The train will stop at Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Melmaravathur, Villupuram, Vridhachalam, Trichy, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Kovilpatti, Tirunelveli, Valliyur, Nagercoil Town, Trivandrum, Kollam, Kayankulam, Hariapad, Ambalapuzha, Allapuzha and Cherthala. Reservations for the above trains are open, a release from Trichy railway division said. TNN
