IIM to help CII n developing the Trichy District Development Plan.

IIM Trichy is partnering with Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) Trichy Zone in developing the Trichy District Development Plan. In this regard, a CII-IIM Trichy meet was held at IIM Trichy on 22nd June to put forth and discuss various development plans. The workshop was attended by more than 40 senior delegates of CII Trichy zone. The delegates worked on various development plans identified by CII-IIM Trichy and presented their plans in the workshop. The event witnessed rich discussions around each development plan and marked a step forward in making Trichy a hub for industrial investment.

Dr. Bhimaraya Metri, Director IIM Trichy expressed, “Trichy has a strength in five areas, namely, education, connectivity, cultural heritage, SME industrial belt and strong talent base. Trichy can become an innovation hub and attractive destination in India, and also in Asia in long run, if we work on transportation, tourism, medical tourism, IT park, and life-long learning facilities for upskilling and reskilling.”
