Unani clinic opened at GH

The Siddha wing of Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital attached to the K.A.P.Viswanatham Government Medical College in Tiruchi would now have a separate Unani section.

It would offer treatment under Unani system of medicine on Mondays and Saturdays and will be open from 7.30 a.m. to noon and 3 to 5 p.m. on both days.

The Unani section was declared open by Collector K. Rajamani on Monday in the presence of G. Anitha, Dean, K.A.P.Viswanatham Government Medical College, District Siddha Medical Office S. Kamaraj and other officials.

Mr.Rajamani said it was appropriate that the Unani section was opened during Ramzan.

He commended the services rendered by the Siddha wing of the hospital, especially in controlling the spread of dengue. He promised to initiate steps to provide all necessary facilities for the wing.

Recently an AYUSH Club was opened at the Siddha Wing to offer holistic treatment for patients opting to undergo treatment under Indian systems of medicine under a single roof.

Specialists in Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy will be available at the Club from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. every Friday.
