New model legal services camp organised

District legal services authority organised 'New Model Legal Services Camp,' an awareness event, in the city on Tuesday.
At the event which was held at Makkal Mandram from 9 am, principal district judge S Kumaraguru and district collector K Rajamani presented welfare schemes from various government departments for the beneficiaries. Commissioner of police A Amalraj was also present.
Thirty stalls by various departments were put up by various government bodies for people to visit and get their doubts clarified.
Speaking at the event, Kumaraguru said that people from rural areas would immensely benefitted from the campaign. Meanwhile, Rajamani stated that the police department, law department and district administration had joined hands for this campaign purely for the welfare of the people and said that it was the duty of these three departments to provide law, safety and peace for the public.
