Civic body urged citizens to provide feedback on city's cleanliness through citizen feedback option that is now available in Swachhata mobile application.
It has been a week since the option has been made available in the app by the Ministry of Urban Development which otherwise has the option to post complains on civic issues.

People can download this app on android and iOS phones and post photos of piling up garbage in their locality, unclean toilets and also provide information about dead animals in their area.
The Quality Council of India (QCI) is going to carry cleanliness survey across the country in December in Trichy and citizen feedback has a sizable weightage. While the results would be declared in the month of February, Trichy Corporation has planned massive a campaign to create awareness among the general public on the citizen feedback.
Informing that about 25,530 people have downloaded the Swachhata app on their smart phones, Trichy Corporation commissioner, N Ravichandran said that 13,345 complaints have been addressed out of 13,401 complaints received which reflect on its optimum use by the people. Apart from complaints, people can now give their feedback through the app on the performance of the civic body. This would also be taken into account during the swachh sarvekshan, said the commissioner.
Citizen feedback carries 30 percent weightage with 600 marks in the cleanliness survey (Swachh Sarvekshan) out of the total 2,000 marks. "We have planned massive a campaign in educational institutions and public places to create awareness among people about giving their feedback on the city's cleanliness," added the commissioner.
