TNPL gets awarded for water management

THE Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers (TNPL) was recently selected for special awards for its Efficient Water Management Units in its facility at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) during the Water Innovation Summit 2017 held in New Delhi recently. According to a press re-lease, the Water Innovation Summit was held in New Delhi on September 4 and 5.

Under water management sector,  Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers was selected for its excellence in managing water re-source with minimal wastage. Thus the TNPL has been selected and awarded as "Efficient Water Management Unit". The objective of the award scheme is to recognise and award "Excellence" in Water Management in industries (both public and private) and facilitate sharing of information. The awards gauge performance and provide detailed feedback for opportunities to excel while maintaining high standards of excellence. With about total of 75 plus innovative projects from various sectors including pulp & paper, power, fertiliser, cement, infra-structure and banks participated in the competition. From these, CII shortlisted 35 projects and asked to make a presentation in August. TNPL presented about reduced water usage in the indus-tries and it was awarded.
