Apollo Joint Injuries Clinic inaugurated

The Apollo Speciality Hospitals in the city has opened an exclusive clinic for joint injuries.

N. Annavi, former international high jumper, the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the Apollo Joint Injuries Clinic, said the clinic would be useful for the public and sports personalities.

He shared his experiences on joint injuries and commended Apollo Hospitals, Tiruchi for opening the clinic.

K. Balasubramanian and Arun Geethayan, Consultant Trauma and Joint Replacement Surgeons, Apollo Hospitals, Tiruchi, said trauma and joint injuries are often missed and early recognition of joint injuries and proper treatment can prevent setting of arthritis in the joints.

A continuing medical education (CME) programme, Traumacon 2017, was also held. K.G. Srinivasan, Consultant Radiologist, Kader Sahib Consultant Intervention Cardiologist, Samson Daniel, Senior Consultant Trauma and Joint Replacement Surgeon and S. Ramesh Babu, president, Tamil Nadu Orthopaedic Association, Dr. Arun Geethayan and Dr. Balasubramanian, delivered lectures on various topics during the CME

Rohini Sridhar, Chief Operating Officer, Apollo Hospitals, Madurai Region, was also present.
