NIT-T to provide eco-system for start-ups

The Centre for Entrepreneurship Development and Incubation (CEDI), promoted by the National Institute of Technology, Trichy, will provide a comprehensive entrepreneurial eco-system enabling young entrepreneurs to start start-up companies for promoting technologies developed by them in the areas of ICT and electronics. CEDI will offer seed funding support, incubation facilitates and access to NIT-T's common infrastructure facilities, departmental laboratories and other resources for product development purposes. All the necessary mentoring and support for mobilizing funds, creating access to markets, augmenting managerial skills etc will be provided by CEDI. The center will also promote innovation and entrepreneurship by organising competitions and awareness programmes.
Republic Day parade camp held:
The valedictory function of the South Zone NSS pre-Republic Day parade camp held at the National College, Trichy. K Anbarasu, principal, National College, welcomed the gathering. K Raghunathan, secretary, delivered the presidential address. Prasanna Balaji, camp coordinator, briefed the important activities of the camp. S Selladurai, additional registrar, Anna University, Chennai, was the chief guest at the event and also delivered the valedictory address. The book 'NSS a social bridge', detailing NSS activities in India and Tamil Nadu, written by C Samuel Chellaiah, NSS regional director, was released by Selladurai and received by Raghunathan.
