More than 10% of international tourists who visited India in September 2016 travelled through airports inTamil Nadu, data released by the Union tourism ministry show.
Chennai airport ranked third among the international airports in the country after Delhi and Mumbai airports, recording 8.30% foreign tourist arrivals (FTA) last month. Nearly 2% of foreigners had travelled via Trichy airport.
