Set up base at Tiruchi

Even while making a strong plea to resume flight services to Mumbai and a couple of West Asian destinations, the Tiruchi Airport authorities have requested Air India to establish its base in Tiruchi airport. There was a proposal to establish an Air India base in Tiruchi. However, it did not take off because of different reasons despite all necessary facilities available at the airport. Expressing readiness to provide all facilities, the airport authorities has requested Air India to establish a base at the Tiruchi international airport. The airport had all facilities including Customs, immigration and public health to cater to the needs of international passengers, it said.. .
