Rs. 5 cr. for sprucing up catering institute
The State government has allocated Rs. 5 crore for taking
up various development work at the Tamil Nadu Institute of Hotel
Management and Catering Technology at Thuvakudi in Tiruchi.
About
Rs. 1.13 crore is being spent for renovation and repair of the college
campus under the first phase of the development programme. This apart,
Rs. 15 lakh has been allocated for installing a generator and Rs. 5 lakh
for installing a drinking water purifier in the premises, K.S.
Palanisamy said in a release after inspecting the progress of the
development works on the institute premises on Wednesday.
Under
the second phase, additional buildings would be built at a cost of Rs.
2.95 crore and another Rs. 75 lakh would be spent on acquiring necessary
equipment for the institute, he added.
