Chemmozhi Express starts her journey
The daily train that would leave Mannargudi at 8.10 p.m., would reach Coimbatore at 5 a.m. on Wednesday.
The train would go via Needamangalam, Thanjavur, Tiruchi, Karur, Erode, Tirupur, and Coimbatore north.
On the downward journey, the train would leave Coimbatore at 11.55 p.m. and reach Mannargudi at 7.55 a.m. the next day.
T.R.Baalu, DMK MP and Chairman of Parliament Standing Committee for
Railways, told presspersons on Monday at Mannargudi that a new broad
gauge line between Mannargudi and Pattukottai would be laid at a cost of
Rs. 388 crore.
