Foundation Day of IIM Trichy

ndian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli or Trichy is ready to celebrate the first Foundation Day of the B-School on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 in the NIT Trichy campus. IIM Trichy is currently functioning from the NIT Trichy campus.

The foundation stone of IIM Trichy was laid on January 4, 2011 by Union HRD Minister, Mr. Kapil Sibal. Dr. Prafulla Y Agnihotri is the first Director of the B-School. Mr. M Damodaran, former SEBI Chairman heads the Board of Governors of IIM Trichy.

The Foundation Day celebration will see Mr. M Damodaran deliver the keynote address. The ‘Annual Report’ of the first batch will also be released. A panel discussion on the topic, ‘Expectations of Industry from Management Gurus’ will also be held in the IIM Trichy foundation day celebrations.

The first PGP batch of IIM Trichy started from June 15, 2011. The first batch of 2011-13 has 88 students including 73 boys and 15 girls. IIM Trichy has announced the admission criteria for the next batch, 2012-14 as well.
