Hyundai Construction Equipment to Expand Network to Trichy

Aug. 26: Hyundai Construction Equipment India, a subsidiary of the Korea-based Hyundai Heavy Industries, plans to expand its presence in Tamil Nadu.

The Korea-based company will invest in warehouse and workshop in the state through its distributor SSS Equipment.

Hyundai has invested Rs 300 crore in India and set up its plant in Pune, to manufacture 20T Hyundai excavators.

Mr J.S. Kim, managing director, Hyundai Construction said, "During the last one year, in spite of adverse situations, we have successfully achieved various milestones like developing a strong distribution network across the country and rolling out 20T excavator."

According to a company official, its dealer network will be spread across Tamil Nadu through SSS Equipment and will set up its network in Chennai, Salem and Trichy.
