MphasiS planning center in Trichy

MphasiS, an EDS company, is set to consolidate its Indian operations in this year by adding 8,000 professionals to its 27,000 strong staff.

MphasiS' CEO, Mr Jeya Kumar, said, "We will consolidate our operations spread across 29 locations in India to 17 to 18 centres by the end of this year."

The company on Wedn-esday launched its enterprise lab here, which will provide engineering, development and testing environments for its development and delivery teams world wide.

The company expects the lab to improve its "asset utilisation by 3-7 per cent." The company also plans to set up such labs in the United Kingdom, United States and Australia soon.
