Summer Special trains to Chennai

Southern Railway has announced special fare trains to Thiruvananthapuram and Chennai Egmore to clear extra rush of traffic during summer.


Accordingly, Chennai Egmore - Karaikal special fare special will leave Chennai Egmore at 11.45pm on Mondays from April 2 to June 25 and reach Karaikal at 8.30am the next day. Karaikal - Chennai Egmore special fare special will leave Karaikal at 10.30pm on Tuesdays from April 3 to June 26 and reach Chennai Egmore at 8.25am the next day. The composition of the trains would be 1 AC first class, 1 AC 2-tier, 2 AC 3-tier, 8 sleeper class, 3 general second class and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches.
Trichy - Chennai Egmore special fare special will leave Trichy at 3.25pm on Saturdays from April 7 to June 30 and reach Chennai Egmore at 9.10pm the same day. Chennai Egmore - Trichy special fare special train will leave Chennai Egmore at 9.45am on Wednesdays from April 11 to July 4 and reach Trichy at 3.15pm the same day. The composition of the train would be 1 AC 2-tier, 3 AC 3-tier, 13 sleeper class, 2 general second class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches. Thiruvananthapuram - Karaikal special fare special will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 3.25pm on Wednesdays from April 4 to June 27, 2018 and reach Karaikal at 3.45am the next day.
Karaikal - Thiruvananthapuram special fare special will leave Karaikal at 10.45pm on Thursdays from April 5 to June 28 and reach Thiruvananthapuram at 12.15am the next day. The composition of the train would be 2 AC 2-tier, 3 AC 3-tier, 11 sleeper class, 2 general second class and 2 luggage-cum-brake van coaches.
Advance reservation for the above trains are open, said Trichy railway division statement.
