Governor to take final call on BDU Vice chancellor

The process to select the next vice chancellor of Bharathidasan University ends with the search committee submitting the final list of three candidates to the governor.
Now, the governor of Tamil Nadu, Banwarila Purohit, who is also the chancellor of the university, will take the final call on who will be the vice chancellor.
Nine out of 10 shortlisted candidates in the race for the next vice chancellor of Bharathidasan University appeared before the VC search committee for interview at Anna University on Wednesday.
Based on the interview, the three member committee headed by former vice chairperson of the State Planning Commission, Santha Sheela Nair, recommended three names to the governor. While the committee completed the search process to select the best three names out of 241 within two months, it may take few more days for the governor to take the final call only after the scheduled visit of the President.
