BHEL bags award

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Tiruchi, has bagged the Safety Excellence Award for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises from the International Institute of Security and Safety Management (IISSM).

The award is presented to organisations in recognition of their achievements in safety and loss prevention. Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Giriraj Singh presented the award to Anil Kapoor, General Manager (in-charge), Human Resources and Corporate Communication, BHEL, at the annual global conclave of IISSM held in New Delhi recently, a BHEL press release said.

Union Minister for Law and Justice Ravi Shankar Prasad presented the Best Safety Professional of the Year Award to T. Baskaran, Additional General Manager, Health, Safety and Environment, BHEL, Tiruchi, on the occasion. The award is given to safety officers who have done exemplary work in developing innovative practices in safety, the release added.
