New IIM-T Chairman visits campus

Newly appointed Chairman of the Board of Governors of Indian Institute of Management, Tiruchi, Jalaj Dani held discussions with Institute Director Bhimaraya Metri and heads of various departments on Sunday.

Mr. Dani also met the students and faculty members.

The Chairman also went around the new campus, where classes have begun for the current academic year.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Dani said he was honoured to take charge as the Chairman of IIM-Tiruchi, a fast-growing institute. The institute would grow to newer heights with the kind of autonomy given to it by the Ministry.

Mr. Dani is the co-promoter of Asian Paints and has served the company for over two decades in various capacities.

He is also a member of the National Skill Development Agency (NSDA) and a part of the Pradhan Mantri Kaushalya Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) Steering Committee, both of which function under the Government of India’s Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. He also serves as an Independent Director on the Board of Havells India Ltd.
