Air cargo lifting to Singapore resumes by Scoot

Related imageOverseas cargo lifting which was temporarily suspended in Tiger Air flights to Singapore for the past few days has resumed under the new Scoot brand following the integration of Scoot-Tiger Air.

The resumption of freight lifting comes after a week when the airline put an embargo on cargo bookings at Tiruchi airport due to change of brand name formalities.

The airline has begun to start lifting freight under the revised brand name of Scoot Tiger Air from Wednesday onwards, airport sources said.

This follows the merger of Scoot-Tiger Air.

The airline operates daily flights to Singapore from Tiruchi with the freight accommodated in the existing belly space of the aircraft. The sources said the airline code under the new brand name has also been changed.

Around 2.1 tonnes of freight – mostly perishables - were exported to Singapore by the airline on Wednesday. On Thursday, the cargo lifted was nearly three tonnes.
