Career awareness stall at Collectorate

A career awareness stall has been opened at the Collector’s Office to provide career guidance for SSLC and Plus Two students as part of the Career Awareness Week. Students can get access to information on career options, skill development training opportunities, scholarships available and competitive examinations at the stall during the week.

A career awareness rally was organised in the city on Tuesday by the Department of Employment and Training.

Students of city schools and colleges participated in the rally, which was flagged off by Collector K. Rajamani in the presence of A. Anitha, Regional Joint Director, Employment, and N. Mahalakshmi, Deputy Director, Employment.

A career guidance exhibition and seminar would also be held at the Khajamalai campus of the Bharathidasan University in the city on Wednesday.

Experts from various fields would brief students on higher education and career opportunities and competitive examinations. Students can also approach the District Employment office for undergoing free coaching for competitive exams and skill development training, an official release said.
