Central region to get rain in next two days

THE mercury-level in several districts of the central region was above normal in the last couple of days. Not any longer, as the Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) has forecast moderate rainfall in the coming two or three days owing to the change in air pressure in the surroundings. The weather is also expected to remain cloudy. The temperature in the city was hovering above 39 degree Celsius during noon, with the roads seeing sparse population, which chose to remain indoors. On Monday, the temperature was slightly cool as there were
was not a drop of rain till the evening hours. 'MD officials said owing to the varied air pressure, some parts of the central region, including the Cauvery delta region, are expected to receive rainfall and some parts of central districts may be cloudy. S Balachandran, director, Area Cyclone Warning Centre, Regional Meteorological Centre, said, " Rain might ensue soon. Some of the districts are expected to be cloudy and the temperature will be in the aver-age normal levels of 38 degree Celsius." He further said there was a steady wind and that is likely to bring the temperature to nor-
rain-bearing clouds, but there mal-level in the coming days.
