14 rankholders opt to join NIT-T

Image result for nit trichy admission 2017Fourteen students who are in the top 1,000 ranks in the JEE (Main) have opted to join the National Institute of Technology-Tiruchi as per the first round of allotment released by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).

The JoSSA manages and regulates the seat allocation for B.E., B.Tech., B.Arch and other programmes for admissions to 23 IITs, 31 NITs and 23 IIITs besides 20 other government funded technical institutions across the country.

The admissions are made through a single window platform online.

Students who have been allotted seats in the first round are required to report at any of the reporting centres listed by JoSAA between June 29 and July 3, a NIT-T press release issued here said.

Among the 814 seats at NIT-T, 50% is allotted for Tamil Nadu students and the remaining for other state students. Of the 814 students allotted to NIT-T, 129 were girls.

As NIT-T is one of the reporting centres, the first round of reporting started on Thursday.

Seat confirmation letter


Mini Shaji Thomas, Director, NIT-T, handed over the first seat confirmation letter to Gopalakrishnan Lakshminarayanan, who has been allotted a seat in B.Tech., Mechanical Engineering on Thursday at NIT-T.
