Omega Healthcare Management Services Pvt. Ltd., an offshore provider of healthcare outsourcing services, plans to increase its headcount by 3,000 in the next 24 months.

As an offshore provider covering medical billing, coding and revenue cycle management (RCM) verticals, the Chennai-based firm has operating centres in Trichy, Bengaluru, Chennai, Bhimavaram in Andhra Pradesh and in Philippines employing over 11,000 people.

“We have a major presence in Tamil Nadu with Chennai and Trichy operating centres accounting for 7,000 people,” said Gopi Natarajan, co-founder and CEO, Omega Healthcare. “We are the largest provider of white collar jobs in Trichy. Our recent entry in Bhimavaram has also proved to be successful. We have employed close to 200 people in the last five months in Bhimavaram and we will add over 250 seats by mid-February. Philippines has 600 staffers.”

Mr. Gopi said the company was aiming at the U.S. healthcare industry. Omega is currently serving over 100 clients in the U.S. market. Over the next few months, Omega will add (1,500 seats or 3,000 people) — 700 seats in Trichy, 300 in Bengaluru and 500 in Bhimavaram.

Last year, Omega Healthcare posted a 35 per cent compounded annual growth rate and aims to maintain this growth rate during the current financial year. “We are the largest medical coding shop having over 3,500 medical coders doing specialised function. We are going to areas were good talents are available. Our goal is to provide employment to any graduate,” he said.
