Change in traffic to facilitate bridge construction work

An earth mover working on the Collector Office Road near Gorimedu for the multi-layer bridge construction work in the city on Friday.

City police have announced traffic diversion for all vehicles passing via Aristo Hotel Junction from May 2 to facilitate the construction of a new multi-level bridge near the Railway Junction.
Accordingly, heavy and light vehicles proceeding towards Dindigul from here should take the Viralimalai, Manapparai route and vehicles from Dindigul should proceed via Manapparai, Kulithalai, Musiri, and No. 1 Tollgate, to reach the city. Mofussil buses to Dindigul should pass via the Head Post Office, Othakadai, Court road junction, Vestry school junction, Collectorate road, and Gorimedu.
Vehicles arriving here from Dindigul and Coimbatore should pass via Sangam hotel and Roshan Mahal. City buses from the Central Bus Stand should pass via Periyar statue, Vestry School junction, collectorate, Gorimedu to reach Dindigul road and those coming from the Dindigul road to Central bus stand should proceed through Vestry school junction, Periar statue, Kalaiarangam road, and Rockins road.
The buses to Madurai from Central bus stand should proceed via Othakadai, Head Post Office, TVS tollgate, a release of the City Police Commissioner Shailesh Yadav issued here on Thursday said.
The new multilevel bridge being built at a cost of Rs.81.40 crore will come up in place of the existing narrow bridge at the Viralimalai Road intersection
