NLS Trichy to start functioning this academic year; Admissions on basis of CLAT ran

The National Law School situated at Trichy, Tamil Nadu (NLS-T) has begun offering the five year BA LLB (Hons) course from the academic year 2013-2014. As per information available on the NLS-Twebsite, admissions are only open to those students who have appeared in the CLAT this year.

As per the NLS-T website, the annual fees are Rs. 1,80,000/- (excluding refundable deposits of Rs. 24,000), placing it in the top 5 most expensive National Law Universities. Of the 100 available seats, 45 are reserved for residents of Tamil Nadu while another 10 are available under the NRI quota. The last date for submitting applications for the 100 available seats is July 13, 2013.

NLS-T has Prof. N Murugavel as the institute's Vice Chancellor and Prof. (Dr) M.S. Soundarapandian (former Director at School of Excellence, Chennai) as the Registrar.
