2,743 students take part in campus recruitment drive in Tiruchi

A mega campus recruitment drive was organised jointly by the Centre for University Industry Collaboration, Bharathidasan University, and Shrimati Indira Gandhi College in association with Tata Consultancy Services – BPO sector, in Tiruchi a few days ago.
Students from 46 affiliated colleges of Bharathidasan University, SASTRA University, Alagappa University, and Madurai Kamaraj University attended the two-day campus recruitment drive held at Shrimati Indira Gandhi College.
As many as 2,743 students participated of whom 110 of them were selected. The Vice Chancellor, Bharathidasan University K. Meena gave away appointment orders to selected candidates.
She said steps had been taken by the university to sign a memorandum of understanding with Tata Consultancy Services, Chennai, to train students of affiliated colleges of the university to suit the needs of the industry.
Senior Manager, TCS-BPO, Chennai Jayanthi delivered the keynote address. Gopinath Ganapathi, Director, Bharathidasan University Technology Park offered felicitations.
The Director, Centre for University Industry Collaboration, Bharathidasan University, M.Rajendra Prasad, and Shrimati Indira Gandhi College secretary S.Kunjithapatham were present on the occasion, a press release said.
