Computerised ticketing at Palakkarai railway station

The divisional railway manager of the Tiruchirappalli division of the Southern Railway, P V Vaidialingam on Thursday inaugurated computerised ticket counters for the first time at the 142-year-old Palakkarai railway station in Trichy town. Until now, the station issued only tickets printed on cards.

Passengers had also appealed to the railways that all trains passing through the station must halt there.
