University to launch system design course

The Institute for Entrepreneurship and Career Development (IECD), Bharathidasan University, will launch on February 21 new Certificate/ Diploma programmes in Embedded System Design, and Hardware and Networking in collaboration with Coimbatore-based BETA Technologies.

The IECD Director K. Parthasarathy said in a press release that hands on training would be imparted through innovative programmes for developing creative expressions in the minds of the learners. The objective is to bridge the gap between education and job requirement through infusion of employable qualities.The agreement was signed by representatives of the two entities in the presence of the Vice-Chancellor of Bharathidasan University K.Meena. The University was represented by the Registrar T. Ramaswamy and Dr. Parthasarathy while L. Ramesh, CEO was present on behalf of BETA Technologies.

A pass in Plus Two is the minimum eligibility for the certificate/ diploma in Embedded System Design. For Hardware Networking meant for school drop outs, the minimum qualifications is a pass or fail in 10th standard. The durations of certificate and diploma programmes are three months and six months respectively.
