IAS,IPS Training Centres for Trichy

Chennai , Feb 24 The Tamil Nadu government today said that it would set up IAS and IPS training centres in Tier-II cities and also encourage private companies to set up such centres in other districts.
Replying to a question raised by DMK MLA M Appavu in the assembly, Electricity Minister N Arcot Veerasamy said the government proposed to set up these centres in Tiruchirapalli, Madurai, Tirunelveli and Coimbatore.

"The government will also encourage private companies to come forward to establish such training centres in other districts,"he said.

Veerasamy said that last year the government trained about 200 students in IAS and IPS category, for which an amount of about Rs 60 lakh was spent.
