Plan to build a commercial complex

TIRUCHI: The Tiruchi Corporation has planned to build a commercial complex and a two-wheeler parking lot at the Clock Tower Complex in front of Gandhi Market in the city. The civic body will seek the appointment of a consultant for bid process management through the Tamil Nadu Urban Infrastructure and Financial Services Limited.

The complex will be developed under build, operate and transfer basis as part of the Corporation’s public-private partnership initiatives.

The project is viewed as essential for the development of the area, especially in terms of traffic management. A parking lot is functioning at the open space in the complex. By developing the complex, a more spacious parking lot can be accommodated.

Besides, a commercial complex will help improve revenues.
