High Speed Train between Erode-Trichy (Trial)

Coimbatore,Dec 15:A speed trial at 125 kmph by a special train using Oscillation Monitoring system would be conducted between Erode-Karur-Tiruchirapalli on Dec 17.

The trial is being conducted to increase the speed of trains to 110 kmph from the present 100 kmph between Erode-Karur Tiruchirapalli, a Southern Railway release said here today.

The special train would leave Erode at 9.45AM and reach Tiruchirapalli at 11.15 AM on that day, it said.

The public were requested to be extra cautious while crossing unmanned level crossing in the section on that day and to be patient while crossing the manned level crossing, since the gates would be closed well in advance to ensure uninterrupted running of the special - Agencies
