BHEL gets 2100 Cr order from NTPC

"BHEL has bagged Rs 2,100-crore order for supply and installation of main plant equipment for NTPC's Mauda Super Thermal Power Project (STPP) in Nagpur," a company statement said.

The company would set up 2x500 MW steam generator and steam turbine generator packages at Mauda STPP.

BHELs scope of work in the contract involves design, engineering, manufacturing, supply and erection and commissioning of steam generators and turbine generators along with Associated Auxiliaries, Electrostatic Precipitators and state-of-the-art Controls and Instrumentation.

The key equipment will be manufactured at BHELs Haridwar, Trichy, Ranipet, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Bhopal and Jhansi Plants.

Meanwhile, BHEL recently won a Rs 1,175-crore contract for setting up a 500 MW thermal power plant at Bina in Madhya Pradesh.

The order has been placed by Jaypee Group company Bina Power Company Ltd. BHEL would install two units of 250 MW each for the project which is slated for synchronization during the 11th-Plan Period (2007-12).

BHEL plans to invest Rs 4,200 crore to enhance its capacity from 10,000 Mw to 15,000 MW in two years.
