Traffic diversion for temple consecration in Thiruvanaikoil

The City Police have notified the routes and the parking lots for devotees arriving in vehicles to witness the maha kumbabhishekam of Jambukeswarar Akilandeswari Temple at Thiruvanaikoil here on December 12.

Devotees arriving in vehicles from Srirangam area should go via Gandhi Road, Thiruvanaikoil Junction, Sannithi Veethi, Bharathi Street and Othatheru and park their vehicles at the parking lot near Ayanvetti road. In the return direction, these vehicles should go via Ayanvetti street and Nadu Kondayampettai to reach the Chennai Bypass Road.

Vehicles coming from Karur route should go via Anna statue, Odathurai bridge, Oyamari road, Chennai By Pass road, Kumbakonathan Salai to reach Ayanvetti road and park them at the parking lot nearby and at the parking lot at Karthikeyan Garden along the South Vibhoothi praharam.

These vehicles should leave via East Vibhoothi praharam and Keezha Kondayampettai to reach the Chennai Bypass road.

Vehicles coming from Madurai, Pudukottai and Thanjavur routes should go via Palpannai roundabout, Sanjeevi nagar junction, Kumbakonathan salai, Ayanvetti salai, South Vibhoothi Praharam and should be parked at the parking lot at East Vibhoothi Praharam. In the return direction, these vehicles should go via East Vibhoothi Praharam and Keezha Kondayampettai to reach the Chennai Bypass Road.

Vehicles from Chennai, Ariyalur and Perambalur routes should go via "Y" road junction, Kannimaarthoppu and should be parked at the parking lot in that area. They should be return back in the same direction.

Vehicles coming from Salem route should go via Coleroon bridge, Checkpost 6 and Kannimaarthoppu and be parked at the parking lot at that spot. They should return back in the same direction.

Devotees coming on two-wheelers from Srirangam should go via Thiruvanaikoil Junction, Sannithi Veethi, Bharathi street, Othatheru and Ayanvetti road and park their vehicles on the eastern side of the parking lot at South Ulveedhi. They should return back in the same direction.

Two-wheelers

Devotees coming on two-wheelers from Manachanallur, Samayapuram and No.1 Tollgate should go via Trunk Road, Srinagar road, North Fifth Praharam and North Ulveedhi and park their vehicles on the eastern side at the parking lot. They should return back in the same direction.

Devotees coming by tourist buses should go via Chennai Bypass road, Kumbakonathan Salai and the vehicles should be parked at the parking lot near the Vellikizhamai Salai junction. These buses should return back in the same direction, a police press release said.
