Swachh awareness vehicles launched in Trichy to collect feedback from residents

TRICHY: As part of Swachh Survekshan 2019 – a pan India cleanliness survey to identify cities pursuing best waste management practices, the Trichy Corporation on Wednesday launched four awareness vehicles to boost public support for cleanliness activities.

The awareness vehicles would record feedback from the residents for civic body’s performance. Out of the total of 5,000 marks in the survey, 850 marks have been allocated for the feedback from the residents.

The four minivans would have a couple of corporation employees each to persuade the public to record their feedback in three modes – phone (toll-free helpline 1800-101-1994), Swachhata mobile application and official website (www.swachhsurvekshan2019.org).

Each minivan covering a zone would brief a set of seven questions for which feedback will be recorded by the Union ministry of housing and urban affairs to decide on the performance of a participant city in the survey in the past one year.

“The questionnaires will have yes or no type of answers to record the public view on our activities. By recording their feedback and by downloading the official Swachhata app, people can ensure 850 marks to the Trichy corporation,” said corporation commissioner N Ravichandran.
