Corporation moots pilgrim centre near Mainguard gate

TRICHY: Visitors to the iconic tourist attractions in the city including the Rockfort temple and Mainguard gate will soon be able to avail affordable accommodation close to the hillock. The Trichy Corporation has floated a request for expression of interest (EoI) seeking agencies to construct a pilgrim centre (Yatri Niwas) at the Municipal Chathiram complex near the Mainguard gate on a 22-year build, operate, transfer (BOT) contract.
