IEI, Tiruchi, to get new library



The Tiruchi Local Centre of the Institution of Engineers of India (IEI) will soon get a new look library.

The foundation stone for the new library was laid recently by Sisirkumar Banerjee, president, IEI, in the presence of Rajamanohar, Executive Director, BHEL, Tiruchi. The library will be of immense help to engineers and aspirants of engineering technology, the IEI said. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Banerjee called for more active interaction between the industry and institutes for ensuring accelerated growth of the country. IEI is working to develop a platform to address the expectations of the industry in the engineering curriculum. IEI would organise industry-institute meets in five regions across the country, he said. Mr. Raja Manohar said the programmes conducted by IEI, Tiruchi were useful for practising engineers and students aspiring to become engineers.
