A five-day INSPIRE (Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research) science camp for Plus One students will be held at Nehru Memorial College at Puthanampatti from July 31 to August 4.

This is the seventh INSPIRE camp to be held at the college.

The residential camp, sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology, aims at inculcating scientific temper among students and attract talent to study of science at an early stage.

Mentors for Inspire internship would be various Bhatnagar Awardees, academy fellows, scientists and academicians of national and international repute.

They would share through lectures scientific success and joy of innovation across all science streams.

The camp will have an intake of about 150 students. Students who have secured 94.2% aggregate marks or above in Standard X (A1 CGPA for CBSE and 95% for ICSE students) and now pursuing Standard XI with science group are eligible to apply. Selected candidates will be provided free boarding and lodging and travel allowance.
