The Integrated Financial and Human Resource Management System (IFHRMS), which seeks to ensure effective and efficient functioning of government by integrating management of both financial and human resources, would be implemented soon, Collector K. Rajamani said here on Monday.

Inaugurating a training programme organised by the Department of Treasuries for drawing and disbursing officials at the Jamal Mohamed College in the city, Mr. Rajamani said the government has sanctioned Rs. 288.91 crore for implementing the project. Necessary infrastructure has been created in government offices and the software has also been created.

Drawing and disbursing officers across the State can submit salary and other bills online to the Treasuries. Digital signatures and biometric access ensure safety. The service records of over nine lakh government servants would be digitised and the process is expected to be completed by October. Once it is completed, the system would be implemented.

The system will reduce the workload and associated drudgery at various levels besides making it paperless and provide a hassle-free environment for transactions. It would also help avoid delays and instances of missing records. Pension payments would also be disbursed in time.

The training would go on till June 2 and officers undergoing the training should in turn train their subordinates well in the system, Mr.Rajamani said.

District Treasury Officer Parvathi and others were present.
