Skill training helps in placements

The ICICI Academy for Skills in the city has so far trained about 1,650 youths in office administration, enabling them to find placements in various companies.

The free programme is offered by the academy, as part of the corporate social responsibility initiative of the ICICI Bank, since 2015 in the city. It has a capacity to train about 800 youth in 16 batches annually.

The course curriculum includes communication skills, financial literacy, body language, interview skills and Tally, said Michael Jenno, Centre Head, ICICI Academy for Skills, Tiruchi, during a media interaction here on Thursday.

Tally Solutions is the knowledge partner for the training programme in Tiruchi.

The academy has also found placements for all the youth trained. Most of the trainees were from rural areas and underprivileged sections of the society, he added.

The next batch of the three-month training would commence on March 28 and interested youth can contact the academy functioning in Thillai Nagar in the city.
