Passport office to hold mela to issue PCC

As the government of UAE’s announcement as the employees should produce Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) for processing visa, the passport office in Trichy has been overburdened with such requests. To lessen the burden of job seekers, a mela to issue the certificates has scheduled for March 31, officials from passport office said.


There is a huge demand for the certificate among the prospective job seekers in this jurisdiction, said a release from the regional passport office in Trichy.
Moreover, the certificate appointments at the Passport Seva Kendra and Post Office Passport Seva Kendras are available only on the 13th working day. The melas will benefit applicants of nine districts such as Ariyalur, Trichy, Thanjavur, Karur, Nagapattinam, Perambalur, Pudukkottai, Tiruvarur and Karaikal.
All applicants who are in need of the certificates can take part in the mela with usual formalities and those who have availed for appointments earlier can also reschedule it to March 31, S Lingasamy, regional passport officer, Trichy said in the release.
