Nirmala to interact with industry

An interactive session between Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and prospective entrepreneurs will take place here on March 16.

The discussions will be held at Hotel Sangam in the city at 9.30 a.m. instead of 10.30 a.m. as planned earlier.

Sharing of knowledge about the latest technologies and manufacturing opportunities in defence sector among prospective entrepreneurs in the southern region is the objective of the interactive session, organised jointly by Tamil Nadu Small and Tiny Industries' Association, TIDITSSIA, CII (Tiruchi Zone), and BHELSIA.

The defence indigenisation expo will also provide a platform for manufacturers in the southern region to highlight and showcase their strength and capabilities to establish Tiruchi as one of the manufacturing hubs/destinations for the sunrise sector, TIDITSSIA president N. Kanagasabapathy said in a press release.
