Management games infuse leadership traits: BDU VC

Management games organised by the Department of Commerce and Financial Studies, Bharathidasan University, earlier this month turned out to be a veritable ‘edutainment’ for B.Com and BBA students of affiliated colleges.

Students witnessed the traits of managers surfacing through participation in five events: Best Manager, Business Quiz, Ad-Zap, Corporate Show and Variety.

The objective to identify and tap the creative and innovative talents of commerce and management graduates could be fulfilled through the management games, department head M. Selvam said adding that the meet also served as an interaction forum for 250 students of 16 colleges.

S. Iyyampillai, former senior professor of economics, Bharathidasan University, who inaugurated the event, explained how leadership attributes were honed through management games.

Presiding over the valedictory session, Vice-Chancellor P. Manisankar distributed the prizes and certificates to the winners. Emphasising on team work, the Vice-Chancellor said the objective behind the management game was to acclimatise students to new challenges, competitive spirit, optimistic attitude, time management, and perseverance.
