BDU gears up for NAAC accreditation

Trichy: The Bharathidasan University has roped in former vice-chancellor of Bharathiar University S Sivasubramanian to train its faculty members ahead of the assessment by the National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC).
Sivasubramanian, who has headed various NAAC committees, held a two-day workshop on institutional assessment and accreditation.
NAAC assessment, as per the new guidelines, would be under seven criteria that include research methodology, best practices and other aspects. Sivasubramanian, while explaining each criteria and the way to approach it, said that earlier only few staffs were involved in the process, but now every individual in the university has to contribute - right from students to the faculty members.
