Masi Theppam festival held at Srirangam temple

Devotees in large numbers offered worship to Sri Namperumal and Sri Ubaya Nachiars on the occasion of Masi Theppam festival at Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple in Srirangam on Sunday.

The processional idol of Sri Namperumal and Sri Ubaya Nachiars were taken in a procession from the sanctum sanctorum in the evening to the Asthana Mandapam .

Thereafter, the idols were taken to a specially decorated float in the temple tank. The deities were taken around the tank on the float thrice and then to theMaiya Mandapam, where special rituals were performed.

Subsequently, the idols were taken back to the sanctum sanctorum in a procession.
