Rs 45 lakh multi-level parking lot eases bus stand woes

After a long hiatus, the much-awaited new facility for two-wheeler parking in the ever-crowded Trichy central bus stand has become functional. "Ground floor and first floor of the two-floor parking lot were handed over to the contractor who has leased the facility. Even as the corporation took up the extension works of existing multilevel parking space to bring up additional facility to meet the demands after much delay, the extended multi-level two-wheeler parking was commissioned recently. The construction was earlier delayed due to the shortage in funding," an official source in city corporation said.Ever since the extended two-wheeler parking lot was commissioned a few weeks ago, more two-wheelers were being accommodated.
