No holidays for PDS shop

Ration shops in the district will function on Friday and Sunday this week in view of Deepavali, Collector K. Rajamani said.

In a press release, Mr. Rajamani said the shops would remain open to ensure that ration card holders were able to draw their quota of commodities ahead of the festival. Instead, the ration shops would be closed on October 20 and 27.

Ration shops normally remain closed on the first two Fridays of a month.
