New portal for coaching classes

The School Education Department, on Monday, launched a website tnschools.gov.in using which students can register for free coaching classes through schools to prepare for competitive examinations. The department has established 412 centres covering all panchayat unions in the State to train students for competitive exams.

Interested candidates may register online.

The portal would be open till October 26, said a press release.

School Education Minister K.A. Sengottiayan also distributed orders to 31 officials who had been appointed as district education officers, according to a release.
