MOU Signed between PSG and IWS

The Indian Welding Society (IWS) has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, to offer courses in welding for fresh engineers and diploma holders.

Under the MoU, IWS would offer welding technology course for fresh engineers and diploma in fabrication technology course through the Centre of Excellence in Welding Engineering and Technology (COEWT)) of PSG Tech.

COEWT was established with funding from the Centre. The project was initiated under ‘Make in India’ programme to develop indigenous welding automation systems, advanced welding power source and welding consumables for new materials. The welding technology course will be of one week and the diploma for a year.
