Creating awareness of mental health

A large number of health workers, volunteers and students formed a human chain here on Thursday to raise awareness on the importance of mental health and well being on the occasion of World Mental Health Day.

Athma Hospitals, Tiruchi and Youth Exnora International organised the programme. Students of Jamal Mohamed College, Urumu Dhanalakshmi College, Government Arts College, Thuvakudi, nursing trainees and para medical staff members, formed human chain on Madurai road from Tiruchi Railway Junction Roundabout to Head Post Office.

Anbalayam, another voluntary organisation, also organised a human chain in association with Campion Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School in the city. Students and volunteers participated in the human chain held in front of the school.
